Emeraude Toubia: A Rising Latina Star Making Waves in Hollywood

Emeraude Toubia’s story begins in Montreal, Canada, where she was born to a Mexican mother and a Lebanese-American father. Growing up in Brownsville, Texas, she was raised in a bilingual household, embracing both Latinx and Middle Eastern traditions.

In 2016, Toubia’s career changed forever when she was cast as Isabelle Lightwood in “Shadowhunters.” The fantasy drama series, based on The Mortal Instruments novels, introduced her to a global fanbase.

After “Shadowhunters,” Toubia took on leading roles in both film and television, proving her versatility:
